If you’re here, you’re probably doing everything you can to help your child—and still feeling stuck.
Maybe you’ve noticed things like:
• Your child asking the same questions over and over
• Avoiding certain situations or needing a lot of reassurance
• Anxiety showing up around bedtime, school, or separation
And you’re left feeling like:
• You’re not sure what to say in the moment
• What you try helps temporarily—but doesn’t stick
• You’re constantly second-guessing if you’re helping or making it worse
You want things to feel different.
You want your child to feel more confident and capable—but it can feel like you’re guessing what to do.
This isn’t your fault.
Anxiety and OCD naturally pull parents into patterns that feel helpful in the moment—but keep things going over time. What you need isn’t more effort. It’s a different approach.
Imagine if you could:
• Respond in a way that builds confidence
• Feel more steady in hard moments
• Reduce reassurance and repeated questions
• Help your child handle discomfort
• See real progress over time

About Cheryl
I’m Cheryl Habersaat, LCSW, a therapist who specializes in pediatric anxiety and OCD.
While much of my work focuses on supporting kids and teens, I’m especially passionate about working with parents—because I’ve seen how powerful parent support can be in a child’s progress.
As a mom myself, I understand the deep desire to not see your child struggle, while also feeling unsure where to start or what will actually help.
That’s what led me to seek out additional training in the SPACE approach and create this program—so parents have clear, practical guidance on how to respond in those moments when anxiety or OCD feels the loudest.
You might be wondering
“Shouldn’t my child be the one in treatment?”
Totally fair question. Research—and what I’ve seen in practice—shows that a parent-based approach like SPACE can be just as effective as individual therapy. Because so much of anxiety and OCD shows up in everyday moments, how you respond matters more than you might think.
“We’ve tried therapy before…why would this be different?”
SPACE isn’t traditional therapy. It focuses on giving you tools to handle real-life moments—especially when your child is struggling or not fully engaging. For many families, that’s the missing piece.
“Is this going to take a lot of time?”
It does take some intention, but the goal isn’t to add more to your plate—it’s to make everyday interactions feel clearer and more manageable.
“What if my child doesn’t have a diagnosis?”
That’s okay. This approach works for children with anxiety whether or not there’s a formal diagnosis—and can help prevent things from getting worse.
“Do both parents need to be involved?”
It can help, but it’s not required. We can work with what makes sense for your family.
You don’t have to keep guessing what to do.
And your child doesn’t have to stay stuck in this pattern.
Right now, things might feel overwhelming, uncertain, or inconsistent.
But with the right approach, small shifts in how you respond can lead to meaningful change over time.
You don’t have to figure this out on your own.
If you’re ready for things to feel a little more clear—and a little less overwhelming—this is your next step.
Consultation spots are limited, and the discounted rate is available for a short time.
